Position – Swimming Pool Engineer
Industry – Water Treatment & Leisure facilities
Location – Swindon, To work the M4 Corridor
Salary/Package – £37,500 – £44,000, Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, Uncapped quarterly bonus, Mobile/Tablet, Death in Service, & more
Client
A market leading water treatment service provider, boasting a range of specialist engineering & compliance services, predominately swimming pool plant engineering and domestic water services for legionella prevention, right through to design and installation of complete swimming pool filtration plant and chemical dosing packages.
Purpose of the role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and installing water treatment equipment within customer sites include Leisure Centres, food premises, water works, commercial
and industrial premises building good honest relationships with the customers, not only providing excellent engineering maintenance skills, but also offering recommendations and solutions for remedial works and upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Work with the engineering project management team to plan, implement and complete Projects.
- Organise appropriate resource to complete project work.
- Complete plumbing works, including dead leg removal, re-arranging tank inlets, replacing ball cocks, replacement and pipe work insulation.
- Carry out chemical cleans and flushing of closed systems and dosing with set levels of biocide, corrosion inhibitor and by other necessary additives.
- Work on filtration overhaul projects.
- Ensure all project handover paperwork is completed in communication with the administration department.
- Produce and issue site specific risk assessments and follow method statements for agreed
- works.
You must have or holds
- Knowledge of chemical dosing, UV, filtration & swimming pool water treatment plant
- Electrical (Ideally) and/or mechanical based qualifications and experience (HNC level or above)
- Knowledge of legionella control and domestic water systems (Not required but desirable)
- Ability to fault find and diagnose customer equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Well organised with a high attention to detail
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
