Salary: Up to Β£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced Steel Fabricator / Welder for a full-time, temp to perm position based in a workshop in South Leicester.
The Steel Fabricator / Welder will be responsible for the fabrication and MIG welding of structural steel and architectural metalwork, including steel frames, stairs, balustrades, canopies and other bespoke steelwork.
This is a workshop-based role, with occasional site work required when carrying out fitting and installation .
Requirements
- Strong working background in structural steel fabrication and welding.
- Minimum 2 years' fabrication experience.
- Experienced with MIG welding, particularly 6mm multi-run fillet welds.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Structural steel and/or architectural metalwork experience.
- NVQ Level 2 Welding/Fabrication or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
- CSCS card not required - training will be provided where necessary.
- Please note: This is not a sheet metalwork position. Working Hours
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am-2:00pm
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Package
- Up to Β£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Opportunity for pay to increase based on skills and experience.
