We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and more.

  • Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Perform inspections to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition and complies with safety standards.
  • Provide occasional support for field-based repairs when required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, with expertise in working on plant machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering are desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.

Work a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of plant machinery. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop. Occasionally assist with field-based repairs as needed.

Competitive basic salary ranging from £36,000 to £45,000, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities at the standard rate. Generous holiday allowance of 29 days. Company vehicle can be supplied if required.
