Position: Plumbing bias Mechanical Engineer

Location: Covering London and Greater London

Salary/Package: From £40,000 to £46,000 (DOE), plus Van or oyster card, PPE/Tools, OT available, rare Call out available. 22 days holiday + Banks.

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong plumbing bias for a full time, permanent position covering London and Greater London. This position will be working for a very well-established Water Company who have a great standing in the industry. This person will be travelling either using a company van or oyster card throughout London, dealing with the planned and reactive maintenance of Plants Rooms, Rainwater Systems, Pumps, UV Systems as well as Cat 5 Tanks that are above and underground.

The right person for this position will have a minimum of a level 2 in plumbing. They need to have a good mechanical knowledge of pumps and water systems. We also need this engineer to be able to assist with providing small quotations and provide technical support to the clients and other engineers. Due to the locations of the sites, we can provide this engineer either a company van or an oyster card so that they can access them via public transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical installations
  • Commission systems and equipment
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs
  • Provide after-sales support
  • Product testing and repair
  • Project management support
  • Complete office-based administration when required

Full product training will be provided during a structured 3-month training and evaluation period. We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team.
