An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a growing specialist contractor operating across rainscreen cladding, facade refurbishment and fire remediation. The business has a strong pipeline of projects across both commercial and public sector markets and is looking for an experienced estimator who can take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong rainscreen/cladding estimating background who wants to join a growing business and have a genuine impact on its continued success.
You'll be responsible for pricing a variety of facade and refurbishment projects, working closely with clients, consultants, manufacturers and the supply chain. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing accurate and competitive tenders for rainscreen cladding and facade refurbishment projects.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, surveys and scope to build detailed project costs.
- Pricing systems including ventilated cladding, overcladding, curtain walling, composite panels and proprietary facade systems.
- Carrying out pre-tender site surveys and assessing existing facade conditions.
- Obtaining competitive pricing from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identifying commercial risks, buildability issues and value-engineering opportunities.
- Supporting projects through procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Working closely with the wider commercial and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover from tender to delivery.
We're looking for an experienced Facade Estimator with:
- Estimating experience within facades, rainscreen cladding or specialist envelope.
- Strong experience pricing refurbishment and overcladding projects.
- Good technical knowledge of rainscreen and ventilated cladding systems.
- Experience with systems/products such as Kingspan, Trespa, Equitone, Rockpanel, SFS, brick slips, terracotta or aluminium cassette.
- Knowledge of SFS systems, including Metsec or Kingframe.
- The ability to confidently interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications and survey information.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and Excel/estimating software skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience with fire remediation, post-Grenfell projects, EWS1, the Building Safety Act or public-sector refurbishment frameworks would be highly advantageous.
