My client is a highly respected and established Building Management Systems specialist, delivering innovative building controls solutions across some of London's most prestigious commercial environments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced BMS Support Engineer to join their Central London service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer looking to work with a forward-thinking organisation that invests heavily in employee development, collaboration and long-term career progression.
As a BMS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a portfolio of building management systems across commercial client sites throughout Central London. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on BMS and building controls systems
- Diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise system downtime
- Performing minor repairs, modifications and remedial works
- Conducting routine system inspections to ensure optimum operational performance
- Responding to reactive service calls and breakdown situations
- Providing technical support and recommendations to clients
- Identifying opportunities for system improvements, upgrades and energy efficiencies
- Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation following site visits
- Participating in an on-call rota for emergency support coverage
The successful candidate will have a strong background within the Building Management Systems industry and be confident working independently across a range of commercial environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within the BMS / Building Controls sector
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Experience working with Trend Systems and IQ Vision
- Good understanding of mechanical plant and HVAC systems
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong IT and reporting skills
Desirable
- Experience with Tridium Niagara
- Exposure to Siemens Building Technologies
- Knowledge of additional BMS platforms and smart building technologies
Training and development will be provided to support further system exposure and career growth.
