Field Service Engineer

Your Role Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a key technical representative for the business, ensuring customers machinery runs efficiently, safely, and reliably. You will travel to customer sites across the UK, working independently while being supported by a knowledgeable technical team. Your work will vary from site to site, giving you exposure to a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain a broad variety of packaging machinery including shrink wrappers, flow wrappers, sealers, conveyors, and fully automated systems
- Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including 3-phase motors
- Install and commission machinery at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and performance
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and extend equipment life
- Provide customer support and training, ensuring operators understand correct operation and maintenance procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, repair logs, and compliance records
- Travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays; travel time and expenses are fully paid
- Work safely and efficiently while adhering to all company and industry health and safety standards
This role provides hands-on experience with complex machinery and technical systems, offering the chance to continually develop mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
