A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Civils Foreman to join a major infrastructure project running across the Newtown to Welshpool region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term scheme with strong potential for ongoing work beyond the initial programme.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a civils gang of approximately 9 operatives delivering ducting and associated civils works for 20kV cable installations. The cable pulling itself will be completed by a specialist contractor once the civils package is complete.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day site operations
  • Supervising a gang of approximately 9 operatives
  • Overseeing ducting installation and associated civils works
  • Coordinating works with follow-on contractors
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Managing quality assurance and site compliance
  • Liaising with Engineers, Site Managers, and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Foreman on civils or utilities projects
  • Strong background in ducting/DNO and infrastructure works
  • Utilities, highways, or power experience preferred
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
  • CSCS essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
