A leading UK company in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic and motivated Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer to join its external site teams. This is a varied and hands-on role, working alongside mechanical engineers to install, commission, and service pumping equipment across multiple sites. The position offers national exposure while remaining regionally focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical work to support mechanical installations
- Assist with after-sales service and breakdown support when required
- Travel and stay away from home when necessary (minimised where possible)
- Maintain and improve company procedures
- Complete site reports and obtain customer sign-off after each visit
- Submit reports and timesheets promptly
- Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services
- Ensure tools and materials are prepared before attending site
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
- Manage petty cash and company credit card responsibly
- Identify personal training and development needs
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Undertake additional duties as required
Requirements
- General knowledge of the engineering or pumping industry (desirable)
- Experience in a similar role or maintenance environment
- Experience with motors and/or pumps (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- City & Guilds Level 3 – Inspection & Testing (initial and periodic)
- Electrical qualification to 17th or 18th Edition (BS7671)
- Confined Space Training (desirable)
- First Aid Certification (desirable)
- CSCS Card (desirable)
