About the Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of materials handling equipment and plant machinery within a busy workshop environment. You will work as part of a skilled engineering team and report directly to the Workshop Manager. This is a hands-on workshop-based role offering stability, technical variety, and opportunities for ongoing development within a supportive, family-oriented business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair materials handling and powered access equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
- Replace or repair faulty components as required
- Prepare equipment for customer delivery and inspections
- Complete planned maintenance and workshop repair tasks efficiently
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager & Service Team to prioritise and complete workloads
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Complete relevant job documentation and adhere to company procedures
- Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
- Continuously develop your technical skills through training and hands-on experience
About You
- Experience working as a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or similar role
- Multi-skilled with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
- Experience working on materials handling equipment, forklifts, plant, or powered access equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Able to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards
- Committed to Health & Safety compliance
