An established UK specialist delivering industrial and heavy commercial refrigeration projects is looking to appoint an experienced Project Sales Business Development Manager as part of its continued growth.
The Role
Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and winning industrial refrigeration projects, working primarily direct to end users, with additional engagement with consultants and specifiers where required. Projects typically involve ammonia (NH3) and CO2 refrigeration systems in complex, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new project sales opportunities within industrial markets
- Sell bespoke refrigeration solutions rather than off-the-shelf products
- Engage with end users, operations teams, and senior technical stakeholders
- Build relationships with consultants, engineers, and specifiers
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to contract award
- Work closely with internal engineering and project delivery teams
- Maintain and forecast a strong, accurate sales pipeline
About You
Essential
- Proven experience in project sales or business development
- Background in industrial or heavy commercial refrigeration
- Solid understanding of ammonia (NH3) and CO2 systems
- Experience selling engineered solutions
- Comfortable managing long sales cycles and complex decision-making processes
Desirable
- Existing network within food, cold storage, pharma, or process industries
- Experience dealing with consultants and specifiers
- Technical or engineering-led sales background within HVAC or refrigeration
