My client is a UK leading provider of Hydraulic Systems, power units and a distributor of components. With a proven track record of using quality brands and providing outstanding engineering services they are looking to now add to their Engineering team. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer. This role requires you to have experience or knowledge of industrial/hydraulic engineering which will allow you to work closely with onsite Design and Sales teams as well as being customer facing when on client sites. Hydraulic Engineer Workshop located in Wakefield – Client site visits will be required. £38,000 – £42,000 (DOE), Monday – Friday, company pension, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, pool vans available, Overtime paid at 1.5 and 2.0. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Testing Hydraulic equipment on Test rigs. Pipe fitting – on and off site. Hose manufacturing, flushing and testing. Building and testing HPUs based on required drawings and specifications. Stripping and assessing hydraulic components. Rebuilding and testing hydraulic components. Installation of hydraulic equipment. Attending client sites to service customers hydraulic equipment. Understanding clients’ systems to ensure fault finding is doable. To apply you MUST have or hold: Experience of HPU and component assembly. Understanding of hydraulics, pumps, valves, cylinders and their applications. Able to read and understand schematic drawings. Previous hydraulic experience (Systems and components). Able to fault find effectively. Full UK driving licence. Be able to travel to clients’ sites and potentially work away when required. Strong communication skills both written and verbally. Confident working alone and part of a wider team.
