A leading global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machinery is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mobile Plant Engineer, covering the northern region of the country. This is an excellent opportunity for someone located within an hour and a half of Manchester to work with cutting-edge machinery, receive industry-leading training, and enjoy a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a plant engineer, mobile engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or plant maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Day-to-Day:

  • Travel to customer sites across the northern region to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults.
  • Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
  • Maintain and manage the company-provided van, ensuring it is stocked with necessary tools and parts.
  • Attend manufacturer training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and machinery.
