Responsibilities As a Mobile Plant Engineer, your key responsibilities will include: Conducting maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, loading shovels, and dozers.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
Providing excellent customer service when working on-site or liaising with clients.
Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and ensure minimal downtime for machinery.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
A NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
A full UK driving license.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Day-to-Day Your typical day as a Mobile Plant Engineer will involve: Traveling to client sites to carry out maintenance and repairs on heavy plant machinery.
Diagnosing and fixing faults to ensure machinery is operational as quickly as possible.
Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
Communicating with clients to provide updates on work progress and any additional requirements.
Keeping your company-provided van stocked with the necessary tools and parts.
