Role Overview
This is a fast-paced, technical Sales Manager role focused on selling service contracts, spare parts, and retrofit/change parts to an established customer base. Working for a leading OEM manufacturer, the role involves managing a high volume of enquiries from existing, warm customers and delivering technically focused solutions in a busy, reactive sales environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys handling volume sales activity, working at pace, and managing multiple customer requirements while maintaining a high level of technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell service contracts, spare parts, and retrofit/change parts to an existing customer base
- Manage a high volume of incoming enquiries from established, warm customers
- Prepare and deliver quotations quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Provide technically focused solutions tailored to customer requirements
- Maintain and develop relationships with key OEM customers
- Support customers with upgrades, lifecycle improvements, and machine modifications
- Manage multiple enquiries simultaneously while working towards sales targets
- Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms where required
- Deliver solution-based sales within a highly technical product environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in technical sales, capital equipment, spare parts, or service-related sales
- Experience working in a fast-paced, volume-driven sales environment
- Proven ability to manage a large workload and multiple customer enquiries
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in solution-based or consultative sales
- Comfortable selling into existing customer accounts
- Engineering or technical sales background preferred
- Machinery, OEM, or industrial equipment experience highly desirable
Qualifications
Preferred: Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical). Any background in capital equipment, OEM, or industrial technical sales will be considered.
