We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, telehandlers, and more. The position is based in Bristol and covers the surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Perform inspections to ensure machinery is safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring minimal downtime for their equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and any additional recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, and telehandlers.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Day-to-Day:

  • Travel to client sites in Bristol and surrounding areas to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults.
  • Replace or repair faulty components and ensure machinery is operational.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on the care and maintenance of their equipment.
