A global engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead new product development projects from concept through to production release. This is a hands-on leadership role managing multiple engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving delivery against quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end new product development projects
- Manage project plans, budgets, risks, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate engineering, production, design, and commercial teams
- Oversee prototype build, testing, and validation activities
- Manage and develop a small technical team
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry and machinery standards
- Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven project management experience within engineering or manufacturing
- Background in new product introduction (NPI) or capital equipment projects
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware with excellent organisational ability
- Experience working across technical and operational teams
Desirable
- PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar qualification
- Experience within food, pharma, automation, or industrial equipment sectors
