A global engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead new product development projects from concept through to production release. This is a hands-on leadership role managing multiple engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving delivery against quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end new product development projects
  • Manage project plans, budgets, risks, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate engineering, production, design, and commercial teams
  • Oversee prototype build, testing, and validation activities
  • Manage and develop a small technical team
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry and machinery standards
  • Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven project management experience within engineering or manufacturing
  • Background in new product introduction (NPI) or capital equipment projects
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with excellent organisational ability
  • Experience working across technical and operational teams

Desirable

  • PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar qualification
  • Experience within food, pharma, automation, or industrial equipment sectors
