The Role:

As Audio Prep / De-prep Supervisor, you will oversee the preparation, de-preparation and testing of equipment before and after it is sent to events while supporting coordinating a team of prep technicians. You will work a 5 day week which could involve weekends. This is an ideal role for a senior prep technician or an experienced audio technician / sound engineer, looking to take a step into a senior role within the touring industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing activity within the prep and de-prep department
  • Coordinating equipment between departments for upcoming events
  • Overseeing rack builds and system preparation
  • Supervising testing and fault finding of equipment
  • Supporting FOH sound engineers with system preparation
  • Supervising a team of 15+ warehouse technicians
  • Carrying out quality checks on prepared equipment
  • Planning daily prep schedules for upcoming projects
  • Assigning technicians to projects and prep tasks
  • Ensuring equipment is ready for dispatch and meets operational standards

Requirements:

  • Background in live events as either a warehouse prep technician or sound engineer.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate teams of staff
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio systems (A good understanding of equipment from brands such as Digico, Avid, SSL, Allen & Heath, L-acoustics, D&B would be highly beneficial)
  • Good knowledge of the touring industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Dante networking
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Willingness to work weekends where required
  • Right to work within the UK
