Are you a Service Engineer looking for a new position? I am looking for an engineer to support a large installed base of packaging machinery across the UK. With over 700 machines in operation, this role will primarily be site-based, focusing on maintaining performance, reliability, and efficiency, with travel to other UK locations when required.
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits
- Pension: 3% employer contribution
- Overtime available
- Confidential bonus scheme
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays
- On-site van available for travel when required
- Long-term progression opportunities, with scope to develop into a senior position
- Standard weekday working hours (no weekend work required)
- Overtime paid at £20.20 per hour as and when required
Supporting the day-to-day operation and performance of packaging machinery across the business and outside of it, predominantly South, but also Midlands/North from time to time.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective actions across electrical and control systems
- Basic mechanical repairs
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive support when required
- Assisting with installations and upgrades when needed
- Producing clear and accurate service reports
- Experience working with packaging machinery or similar automated equipment
- Strong understanding of HMIs, control systems, and machine interfaces
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Basic knowledge of C++ would be advantageous (no heavy programming required)
- Exposure to PLC systems or industrial automation
