Are you a Service Engineer looking for a new position? I am looking for an engineer to support a large installed base of packaging machinery across the UK. With over 700 machines in operation, this role will primarily be site-based, focusing on maintaining performance, reliability, and efficiency, with travel to other UK locations when required.
Location: Site-Based Andover
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits
Benefits:

- Standard weekday working hours (no weekend work required)
- Overtime paid at £20.20 per hour as and when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day-to-day operation and performance of packaging machinery across the business and outside of it, predominantly South, but also Midlands/North from time to time.
- Working specifically on HMI inputs and outputs, ensuring systems function correctly.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective actions across electrical and control systems.
- Basic mechanical repairs.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive support when required.
- Assisting with installations and upgrades when needed.
- Producing clear and accurate service reports.
Requirements:
- Experience working with packaging machinery or similar automated equipment.
- Strong understanding of HMIs, control systems, and machine interfaces.
- Electrical fault-finding experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Basic knowledge of C++ would be advantageous (no heavy programming required).
- Exposure to PLC systems or industrial automation.
