Are you a Service Engineer looking for a new position? I am looking for an engineer to support a large installed base of packaging machinery across the UK. With over 700 machines in operation, this role will primarily be site-based, focusing on maintaining performance, reliability, and efficiency, with travel to other UK locations when required.

Location: Site-Based Andover

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits

Benefits:

  • Overtime paid at £20.20 per hour as and when required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation and performance of packaging machinery across the business and outside of it, predominantly South, but also Midlands/North from time to time.
  • Working specifically on HMI inputs and outputs, ensuring systems function correctly.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective actions across electrical and control systems.
  • Basic mechanical repairs.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive support when required.
  • Assisting with installations and upgrades when needed.
  • Producing clear and accurate service reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with packaging machinery or similar automated equipment.
  • Strong understanding of HMIs, control systems, and machine interfaces.
  • Electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Basic knowledge of C++ would be advantageous (no heavy programming required).
  • Exposure to PLC systems or industrial automation.
