A leading UK company in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic and motivated Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer to join its external site teams. This is a varied and hands-on role, working alongside mechanical engineers to install, commission, and service pumping equipment across multiple sites. The position offers national exposure while remaining regionally focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend sites primarily across Wales and South West England
  • Carry out electrical work to support mechanical installations
  • Assist with after-sales service and breakdown support when required
  • Travel and stay away from home when necessary (minimised where possible)
  • Maintain and improve company procedures
  • Complete site reports and obtain customer sign-off after each visit
  • Submit reports and timesheets promptly
  • Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services
  • Ensure tools and materials are prepared before attending site
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
  • Manage petty cash and company credit card responsibly
  • Identify personal training and development needs
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Undertake additional duties as required

Requirements

  • General knowledge of the engineering or pumping industry (desirable)
  • Experience in a similar role or maintenance environment
  • Experience with motors and/or pumps (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • City & Guilds Level 3 - Inspection & Testing (initial and periodic)
  • Electrical qualification to 17th or 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • Confined Space Training (desirable)
  • First Aid Certification (desirable)
  • CSCS Card (desirable)
