We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a fitter or technician, preferably with plant machinery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day
- Travel to various sites in Swindon and surrounding areas to carry out maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect and assess machinery to identify issues and recommend solutions.
