Role Overview
As the BMS Service Manager, you will be accountable for leading the service department, ensuring service excellence, customer satisfaction, and efficient delivery of maintenance contracts. You will take ownership of team leadership, operational control, client relationships, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of BMS Service Engineers
- Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals
- Identify training requirements and support professional development
- Resolve escalated issues and ensure collaborative team performance
- Operational Management
- Oversee delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive service works
- Ensure all works meet SLA requirements and quality standards
- Monitor engineer utilisation, performance, and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Review and approve service reports and documentation
- Commercial & Client Management
- Act as primary point of contact for key clients, maintaining strong relationships
- Track service revenue, costs, and departmental profitability
- Manage contracts, invoicing accuracy, and cost control
- Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and secure additional business
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to support growth initiatives
About You

Requirements
- Extensive experience within the Building Management Systems (BMS) industry
- Proven background in service management and/or leadership
- Strong technical knowledge of BMS platforms (ideally Trend, Tridium, Siemens or similar)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel as required
