A market-leading engineering company specialising in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join its workshop team. This challenging and diverse role involves working alongside a dedicated engineering team inspecting, servicing, and repairing pumps and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly inspect, service, repair, and assemble pumps and associated equipment
  • Complete and maintain service reports
  • Undertake equipment performance testing
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers
  • Assist colleagues in resolving technical issues
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Communicate effectively at all levels
  • Manage your own workload to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Maintain company procedures and suggest improvements where possible
  • Support the development of team members
  • Identify training needs
  • Be flexible to the requirements of the business
  • Observe and maintain the company's Health & Safety Policy
  • Undertake any other duties required from time to time

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the engineering or pump industry
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working in a similar role, maintenance environment, or team leader position
  • Working knowledge and understanding of motors and/or pumps
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical qualification (minimum Level 3)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar hands-on workshop environment
  • Electrically competent
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work flexibly
