About the Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join the Sheffield branch team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering great customer service, who enjoys a mix of driving, warehouse work, and customer interaction. You will be responsible for making deliveries and collections to customers, picking and packing orders, and providing general support within the branch.
If you have strong customer service skills, professional driving experience, and a background in warehouse operations, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Driving: Drive vehicles safely and legally, ensuring customers receive their orders in excellent condition every time. Load deliveries safely before leaving the branch and manage routes effectively to achieve premium or timed deliveries.
- Customer Collections: Ensure collections are made in line with given instructions and times.
- Warehouse Operations: Accurately pick customer orders, receive deliveries against supplier documentation, restock incoming goods, ensure stock is correctly labelled and located, and support general stock control and warehouse organisation.
- Customer Service: Provide an excellent level of service at all times - whether driving, delivering, or working in the branch - and deal with customer issues politely and effectively.
Requirements
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Minimum of three years’ professional driving experience.
- Experience working within a warehouse and with warehouse administration.
- Physically fit and able to comfortably lift 25kg.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience in a multi-branch trade counter business, ideally within electrical wholesale or security distribution.
