Are you a hardworking, reliable individual looking for your next opportunity within a busy warehouse and stores environment? We're recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in South Cheshire. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched efficiently while supporting production and delivering excellent service to customers.
The Role
- Receiving, unloading and storing goods safely and accurately.
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders to ensure they arrive on time and in excellent condition.
- Supplying materials and components to manufacturing and production teams efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Supporting colleagues and being flexible to meet the needs of the business.
- Assisting with stock control and general warehouse duties.
- Undertaking any additional tasks required by management.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or similar environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Driving licence is required due to office location.
Desirable
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience using hand-held scanning devices.
- Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences (these candidates will be given preference).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of warehouse or engineering environments.
Please note: This role is physically demanding and requires manual handling throughout the working day.
