My client is seeking a driven and ambitious BMS Bureau Team Lead to join their growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BMS Engineer with strong remote bureau experience who is ready to step into a leadership role with a clear focus on developing and expanding a bureau division.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in shaping, growing, and driving the bureau offering forward.
The Role
As BMS Bureau Team Lead, you will take ownership of the remote bureau function, oversee daily operations while supporting multiple client sites through fault diagnosis, alarm management, and system monitoring.
A key part of this role is identifying commercial opportunities, analysing system issues, generating remedial proposals, expanding PPM contracts, and helping drive additional revenue through proactive system reviews and reactive works.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the BMS remote bureau division
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues
- Support reactive works and PPM contracts through remote access and detailed system analysis
- Log into client BMS systems to diagnose faults and identify remedial opportunities
- Produce proposals for remedial works and system improvements
- Drive additional revenue through proactive fault identification and optimisation
- Support new business generation for the bureau and wider engineering team
- Expand existing PPM agreements and develop stronger client relationships
- Attend occasional client meetings and site visits
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the bureau division
About You
- Experienced BMS Engineer with solid remote bureau experience
- Strong working knowledge of Trend, Schneider, RDM, and Distech
- Clear understanding of bureau operations, alarm management, and system diagnostics
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify growth and revenue opportunities
- Driven and ambitious with a desire to grow a division
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
