This is a newly created role and represents a genuine investment into the continued growth of the business. They are looking for a high performing Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business, opening new accounts and developing long-term commercial relationships.
The Role
- Drive new business across the UK, also dependent on location.
- Achieve a new business target of around £250,000.
- Target local businesses with a typical spend of around £25,000 - £40,000.
- Work closely with an experienced marketing team while building your own pipeline through proactive business development.
- Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
- Develop new accounts and become a key point of contact for customers.
- Play a key role in an exciting period of expansion, with significant opportunities to make your mark within the business.
Requirements
- Proven track record in Business Development, Area Sales or Technical Sales.
- A genuine hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business.
- Packaging industry experience would be highly desirable, or experience within a similar B2B industry.
- Candidates who understand the Food, Industrial, chemical, furniture and other related markets are highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, driven and comfortable managing your own territory.
