This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage the workshop team, oversee production schedules and ensure every project leaves the workshop to the highest standard - leading teams to craft and assemble high-quality exhibition stands for events across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, managing and mentoring the workshop team.
- Planning and scheduling workshop jobs in line with production deadlines.
- Working closely with the Directors and Design team, providing practical and technical input during the design process.
- Managing stock levels, materials and shortages.
- Maintaining the company asset register.
- Acting as the main point of contact for the workshop team and senior management.
- Supporting on-site installations when required.
- Overseeing high-quality finishing including painting, material wrapping and final presentation of exhibition stands.
- Manufacturing exhibition stands in a workshop environment.
- Working wood with fabrics and vinyls to create premium finishes.
- Traveling across the UK and Europe to assemble and dismantle stands.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Carpentry experience (basic joinery, cutting, and fitting).
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ideal backgrounds include carpenters / joiners from events, exhibitions, shop fitting, cabinet makers or similar.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Valid Passport.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in events and exhibitions.
- Experience managing a workshop would be highly beneficial.
- A 7.5-tonne driving license would be a plus.
