A new opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected packaging machinery manufacturer. This is a Field Service Engineer role ideal for someone with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills who enjoys working in a hands-on, customer-facing environment. You will be working on a range of technically advanced packaging machinery, supporting customers across the UK and Ireland.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Company Car + Benefits

  • Fully expensed company car
  • Overtime paid at time and a half

The Role:

  • Service, repair, install and commission a range of packaging machinery
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support
  • Work with automation, controls, electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Experience within packaging machinery, automation, food processing or a similar capital equipment environment
  • Confident fault finding and diagnosing technical issues
  • Experience with PLCs, automation and control systems would be advantageous
  • Able to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Proactive, professional and able to work independently on-site
  • A genuine team player who values customer satisfaction
