Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP55,000 DOE + Tesla Company Car + Overtime 1.25 Mon-Fri, 1.5x on the weekends + Bonus (Typically around GBP1,000) + 25 days holidays, which increases with service + Pension + Death in service (X4) + Company credit card. Bi-annual team events.
My client is a progressive supplier of CNC machine tools throughout the UK and Europe. From their modern facility in the South of England, they support and service a wide range of advanced machining and turning centres and sliding head lathes. Due to continued growth and the need to expand their service infrastructure, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and capable Service Engineer to join their team. They pride themselves on strong camaraderie and looking after their engineers by keeping them as regional as possible to avoid burnout.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair faults, particularly on Heidenhain controlled CNC machining centres. Fanuc and Siemens diagnostics may also be required.
- Carry out routine servicing and breakdown response.
- Work independently in the field with occasional overnight stays when necessary.
- Always maintain professional conduct and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with a small and supportive team of engineers.
- Proven experience as a CNC machine tool service engineer.
- Strong Heidenhain diagnostic and programming skills (ladder level understanding preferred but not essential).
- Good working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls (Fanuc Robotics experience is a plus).
- Comfortable working on machining centres and lathes as the role can be very varied.
- Apprentice-trained or HNC/HND qualified (preferred but not essential).
