My client is a leading Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist with a strong reputation for delivering innovative smart building solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Sales Support Engineer to join their expanding sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in BMS, HVAC or building services who enjoys producing technical quotations, supporting sales activities and working closely with customers and engineering teams.
The Role
As a Sales Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the sales process by preparing accurate quotations, assisting with tender submissions and helping to develop commercially competitive BMS solutions. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to help convert opportunities into successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce quotations, estimates and tender submissions for BMS projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Price hardware, software, commissioning and labour requirements.
- Carry out occasional site surveys to gather project information.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing and technical information.
- Follow up quotations and maintain regular contact with customers.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors and end users.
- Support contract negotiations and project handovers.
- Keep CRM systems and sales opportunities up to date.
- Stay informed on BMS technologies, products and market trends.
What We're Looking For
- Experience within BMS, controls, HVAC or building services.
- Previous experience preparing quotations, estimates or technical proposals.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong organisational skills with good commercial awareness.
- Experience with Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta or similar BMS platforms would be advantageous.
