My client are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team based in Pontefract. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Senior QS looking to work within a supportive, forward-thinking business delivering a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.

You'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery and commercial performance.

The Role

  • Full commercial management of civil engineering projects
  • Administration of NEC contracts option B/C
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
  • Procurement and subcontract management
  • Variations, valuations and final accounts
  • Risk and opportunity management
  • Client liaison and stakeholder management
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required

About You

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK Driving Licence
