We're working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team due to a key member of staff moving on. With a strong order book and a healthy pipeline of secured work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering long-term career stability and exciting projects across the North West.

Location: Oldham (with future projects across the North West)

The Projects: You'll initially be working on a major housing infrastructure development, delivering works for leading national housebuilders. The current scheme is programmed through to Christmas, with further secured work ready to follow.

The Role: As Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out and surveying works.
  • Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Managing and closing out RFIs.
  • Ensuring works comply with drawings and specifications.
  • Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure and groundworks packages.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks.
  • Housing infrastructure experience desirable.
  • Strong understanding of QA procedures and RFIs.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
