We're working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team due to a key member of staff moving on. With a strong order book and a healthy pipeline of secured work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering long-term career stability and exciting projects across the North West.
Location: Oldham (with future projects across the North West)
The Projects: You'll initially be working on a major housing infrastructure development, delivering works for leading national housebuilders. The current scheme is programmed through to Christmas, with further secured work ready to follow.
The Role: As Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and surveying works.
- Quality Assurance (QA).
- Managing and closing out RFIs.
- Ensuring works comply with drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors.
- Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
- Supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure and groundworks packages.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks.
- Housing infrastructure experience desirable.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and RFIs.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
