Fettler & Polisher Job Title: Fettler & Polisher Pay: £17.50 per hour Reporting To: Production Manager / Fabrication Manager Working Hours Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:00pm Friday: 7:00am-12:30pm 36.5 hours per week Benefits 10% employer pension contribution 5% employee pension contribution £40,000 life insurance Key Requirements Previous experience as a Fettler & Polisher within a fabrication, engineering, or heavy manufacturing environment. Experience with fettling, grinding, deburring, sanding, linishing, polishing and finishing metal components to a high standard. Competent in the safe and accurate use of hand tools, grinders and finishing equipment. Ability to follow drawings, specifications, work instructions and quality requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a high standard of finish and quality workmanship. Ability to safely use workshop and finishing equipment. Reliable, practical, and able to work well as part of a team. Main Duties Fettling, grinding, deburring, sanding, linishing and polishing of metal components. Removing excess material, sharp edges, weld spatter, burrs and surface defects. Preparing and finishing components to drawings, specifications and quality requirements. Using hand tools, grinders, linishers, sanders, polishing equipment and other finishing equipment safely and effectively. Checking finished work for quality and accuracy. Reporting defects, non-conformances or production issues to management. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Following all company Health & Safety and quality procedures. Supporting production teams in meeting output targets, deadlines and wider operational requirements. SER-IN
