I am seeking an experienced and motivated Hydraulic Sales Engineer to join a growing team covering the North West region. This role is ideal for someone with strong hydraulic knowledge who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer engagement and business development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting existing customers while identifying new opportunities for growth across a range of industrial sectors. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering and operational teams to deliver practical hydraulic solutions that improve performance, reliability, and efficiency for customers.
The Role
As a Hydraulic Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships across the North West, providing technical guidance and promoting hydraulic products, services, and system solutions. The role blends technical understanding with commercial awareness, allowing you to identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
You will actively seek new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts. This includes managing the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to quotation, proposal development, and project support.
A key aspect of the role will involve supporting customers with hydraulic asset management initiatives, helping them track equipment, plan maintenance, and improve the lifespan and performance of hydraulic systems. You may also support service engineers with on-site hose surveys and system inspections, identifying potential improvements or maintenance requirements and presenting clear recommendations to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing accounts across the North West region
- Promote hydraulic products, services, and technical solutions to industrial customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation and delivery
- Support customers with hydraulic asset management strategies and system optimisation
- Assist with on-site hose surveys and hydraulic system inspections where required
- Prepare technical reports, quotations, and proposals for customers
- Work closely with internal sales, engineering, and operational teams to deliver solutions
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunities
