The Role

Leading a small team of Warehouse Lighting Technicians, you'll be responsible for overseeing the preparation, testing, maintenance, repair and de-prep of professional moving lights and lighting control equipment before and after hire. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in ensuring equipment leaves the warehouse in perfect working order and returns efficiently for servicing and turnaround. You'll be working with equipment used on high-profile productions including major television shows, reality TV and live entertainment projects.

Duties

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Lighting Warehouse Technicians.
  • Oversee the preparation and de-preparation of lighting equipment for rental projects.
  • Test, inspect and fault-find moving lights, lighting consoles and associated equipment.
  • Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on professional lighting equipment.
  • Allocate workloads and forecast upcoming prep requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, tested, labelled and ready for dispatch.
  • Manage repairs and coordinate replacement parts where required.
  • Maintain accurate stock and equipment records.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to the warehouse team.
  • Ensure all equipment meets company quality standards before leaving the warehouse.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure client requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative working environment where everyone supports each other.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of professional moving lighting fixtures and lighting control equipment.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a lighting prep or warehouse team or similar would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience preparing, maintaining and repairing entertainment lighting equipment.
  • Background within a lighting rental company, production house or manufacturer.
  • Good fault-finding and repair skills.

Package

  • £33,000 - £40,000 basic salary.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Occasional overtime available – Up to 2X
  • 28 days annual leave.
