We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor seeking a motivated Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the civil engineering sector, working alongside experienced commercial professionals on a range of infrastructure projects.
Location: Oldham
The Role: You'll support the commercial team with the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with cost reporting and forecasting.
- Supporting subcontractor procurement and payments.
- Preparing valuations and variations.
- Assisting with cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
- Working with NEC contracts.
- Supporting commercial administration and project documentation.
- Liaising with site teams, clients and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Graduate or Assistant QS experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or groundworks.
- Exposure to NEC contracts is highly desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
