Position: Fixed Wire Testing Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Working Region - Reading/Oxford/London/Luton
Salary/Package: £42,000 per year + Bonus, Van/Fuel Card, Technical Equipment & PPE, Ongoing training and development opportunities.
Purpose of the role
We are looking for an experienced Fixed Wire Testing Engineer to join our team, carrying out electrical testing across commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Fixed Wire Testing / EICRs in accordance with BS 7671.
- Carry out thermal imaging and emergency lighting testing.
- Produce accurate EICR, observation and site audit reports.
- Ensure reports are completed and submitted within required timescales.
- Liaise with site contacts to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Carry out remedial works where required.
- Support and train trainee and junior engineers.
- Take the lead on site when required.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and documentation.
You must have or hold
- Minimum 2 years' Fixed Wire Testing experience within commercial and industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671.
- Able to work independently and manage site-based workloads.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Willing to work occasional weekends and outside core hours when required.
- Willing to stay away from home when required.
- Full commitment to Health & Safety and accurate reporting.
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
