My client is a leading Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality service and small works projects across the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a BMS Maintenance Project Engineer to join their expanding maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with both technical and project coordination experience who enjoys managing small works from initial enquiry through to completion while remaining hands-on with commissioning and BMS support.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering BMS maintenance projects and small works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time and to a high standard. Working closely with engineers, subcontractors and customers, you'll coordinate projects while providing technical support throughout the process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing BMS small works projects from quotation through to completion.
- Planning works, organising materials and coordinating engineers and subcontractors.
- Producing technical documentation including RAMS, commissioning reports and project records.
- Liaising with customers to schedule works and provide project updates.
- Commissioning BMS systems, carrying out testing and validating system performance.
- Supporting control system design, software modifications and graphics where required.
- Identifying additional work opportunities and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring successful project handover.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Good knowledge of Trend and/or Tridium systems.
- Experience managing small works or maintenance projects.
- Strong commissioning and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
