Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Company Car/Allowance + Excellent Benefits

My client is a well-established Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist delivering high-quality control solutions across a wide range of commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a BMS Control Engineer to join their experienced Projects team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with commissioning experience who enjoys working on varied projects, producing high-quality technical work and collaborating with project teams from design through to completion.

The Role

As a BMS Control Engineer, you'll be responsible for commissioning and delivering BMS projects, ensuring systems are installed, tested and operating to the required specification. You'll work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers and electrical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning BMS control systems on customer sites.
  • Carrying out point-to-point testing, functional testing and system validation.
  • Producing commissioning reports and technical documentation.
  • Assisting with control strategies, graphics and system design where required.
  • Supporting project delivery and attending site meetings.
  • Liaising with engineers, subcontractors and clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Identifying and reporting project issues or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience commissioning Building Management Systems.
  • Good understanding of HVAC controls and BMS applications.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Electrical qualifications, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or BCIA qualifications would be advantageous.
