Location: Congleton, Cheshire (Office-Based with National Travel)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus £5,000 car allowance

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project programmes, budgets, resources, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current regulations and industry standards. This is an office-based role located in Congleton; however, projects are delivered nationwide. The successful candidate must be willing to travel regularly and stay away from home when required to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project costs and financial performance, managing projects ranging from £35,000 to £500,000 in value.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and site activities to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead and manage site teams, including Electricians, Supervisors, and Foremen.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress meetings.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to minimise delays.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Support commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in Electrical Project Management.
  • Qualified to BS7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • Strong technical knowledge of both Commercial and Domestic Electrical Installations.
  • Previous experience managing electrical projects valued between £35,000 and £500,000.
  • Experience managing teams of 5-18 personnel, including Foremen and Supervisors.
  • Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.

Desirable:

  • Additional project management qualifications.
  • Experience working across multiple sectors within the electrical contracting industry.

Working Hours:

The company operates in an environment where the requirements of clients and project delivery necessitate flexibility. The standard working pattern is Monday to Friday; however, flexibility will be required to meet project deadlines and operational demands.
