Salary: £55,000 - £80,000 DOE + Company Car

Occasional Travel, Depending on Business Needs

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm & Friday, 8.30am - 4.00pm.

The Role

As Commercial Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate commercial operations with a focus on sustainable growth, profitability, and high-quality service delivery. Working closely with senior leadership and reporting to the Service Director, you will provide commercial insight at a strategic level while ensuring operational delivery remains aligned with the organisation's long-term objectives.

  • Leading commercial operations to support growth and profitability
  • Monitoring revenue recovery, margins, and cost performance
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities across contracts and customer accounts
  • Supporting the development of commercial strategies, customer proposals, and framework agreements
  • Strengthening long-term customer relationships through effective commercial management
  • Providing commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making
  • Driving continuous improvement in commercial processes and operational performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a commercial, operational, or facilities management role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, or service environment
  • Strong financial and analytical capability, including experience with pricing, quotations, contracts, reporting, budgeting, and margin management
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • The ability to interpret financial information and apply it to commercial decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience using ERP, service management, or commercial systems
  • HND qualification or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
  • A qualification in Business Studies, Commercial Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one)
  • A full UK driving licence
