QUANTITY SURVEYOR – GROUNDWORKS & CIVILS £40,000 – £55,000 + Package | Permanent | Growing Groundworks Contractor An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor on a permanent basis. This is a smaller, ambitious contractor experiencing significant growth and looking to strengthen their commercial team with a QS who wants to come in, take ownership of projects and grow with the business. The Role You’ll be commercially responsible for a range of groundworks and civils projects, working closely with the operational team from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities will include: Commercial management of multiple groundworks/civils projects Subcontractor procurement and management Applications, valuations and variations Cost reporting and forecasting CVRs Managing project budgets and commercial performance Identifying and maximising variations Final accounts Working closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and Directors Maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors What We're Looking For Ideally 4+ years' Quantity Surveying experience Strong groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure background Experience working for a subcontractor or civil engineering contractor highly desirable Commercially astute and comfortable taking ownership of projects Ambitious and keen to develop as the company continues to grow Package Salary: £40,000 – £55,000, dependent on experience Permanent, full-time position This isn't a role where you'll simply be another QS in a huge commercial department. You'll be joining a growing contractor where you'll have genuine responsibility, direct access to the senior management team and the opportunity to progress as the company expands.
