The predicted salary is between 24750 - 30250 Β£ per year.
You will be responsible for the preparation, testing, maintenance and deployment of professional communications and data equipment for prestigious live and broadcast events worldwide. This will include radio equipment, analogue and digital wired and wireless communications systems and data infrastructure equipment. You will also form part of the international licensing team.
Duties:
- Building professional communications and IT systems to a high standard.
- Preparing communications and data equipment for live and broadcast projects.
- Testing, fault-finding, servicing and maintaining equipment.
- Cleaning equipment and carrying out quality control checks.
- Carrying out regular PAT testing across departmental equipment.
- Managing and maintaining radio, wired and wireless communications and data infrastructure equipment.
- Providing technical support to warehouse staff, apprentices and freelance crew, both in the warehouse and remotely.
- Managing technical information including licensing, code-plugs and programming requirements.
- Supporting international licensing requirements.
- Working closely with the RF & Microphone department to share technical knowledge and workload.
- Liaising with Operations, Prep/De-prep and Warehouse teams regarding equipment preparation, individual project requirements and deadlines.
- Completing administrative tasks and maintaining accurate information within company IT systems.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Requirements:
- Basic IT networking knowledge.
- Basic understanding of electronics and RF systems beneficial.
- Strong interest in communications, data systems and the technical side of the professional audio industry.
- Knowledge of AV (audio visual) or broadcasting equipment.
- Logical and systematic approach to technical tasks and problem-solving.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to use initiative and solve problems quickly and accurately.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach.
- Willingness to keep up to date with new technology and industry developments.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including paid overtime and some weekends.
