This role provides extensive training, both internally and through external courses, to give you the skills needed to grow your career in BMS. With hands-on mentorship and continuous development, you will have the opportunity to progress into a fully qualified BMS Engineer within the company’s Managed Services team.
- Work closely with the BMS team to support building energy management and automation.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of BMS systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues to ensure efficient building operations.
- Gain experience with both hardware and software components of BMS, including controllers, sensors, and integration with IT systems.
- Receive training and certifications in key BMS platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and facilities management, to deliver high-quality solutions.
A strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering will be highly advantageous. Previous BMS Experience: Although direct BMS experience isn’t essential, any prior exposure to Building Management Systems, HVAC, or Facilities Management will be beneficial. A good understanding of IT and networking systems is desirable. BMS often integrates with IT infrastructure, so comfort with software interfaces and system configuration will support your development.
Qualifications: Electrical or mechanical qualifications are highly desirable (such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent). Any certifications related to HVAC, automation, or control systems will also be advantageous.
