Location: Scotland-wide cover; ideally based near Glasgow (candidates between Glasgow and Edinburgh considered)
Territory: All of Scotland and parts of Northern England; occasional overseas projects
Salary: Β£42,000-Β£45,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week
Overtime: Mon-Sat x1.5, Sun x2
Holidays: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Vehicle: Company vehicle provided or car allowance for suitable own vehicle
The role: Join a machine-tool service team delivering installs, commissioning, breakdown response and planned maintenance for customers across Scotland and the North of England, with occasional opportunities to support projects abroad.
What you'll do:
- Diagnose, repair and service CNC machine tools on customer sites
- Install and commission equipment; complete PPMs and health checks
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding; read schematics and service docs
- Work primarily with FANUC and Heidenhain controls; Mazak/Mazatrolexposure beneficial
- Service and support Matsuura machining centres (brand experience desirable; typically FANUC-based)
- Produce accurate service reports, parts usage and job documentation
- Travel across the region with some overnights as required
What you'll need:
- Proven CNC field service experience on machine tools
- Essential controls: FANUC and Heidenhain
- Bonus: Matsuura experience and/or Mazak/Mazatrolexposure
- Solid electrical and mechanical skills; confident diagnostic approach
- Full UK driving licence; right to work in the UK
- Organised, customer focused, comfortable with regional travel
