Type: Full time, permanent

Salary: £42,000 during probation, rising to £46,000 on completion

Travel: 1-3 nights away per week on average. Rare overseas trips (e.g. Ireland or Europe, typically up to once per year)

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

Expenses: Paid monthly. £25 tax-free subsistence for each night away

Vehicle: Company car provided. Company covers all business costs except company car tax and personal mileage

Tools & kit: Uniform, phone and laptop provided

Company snapshot: Training and demonstrations focused applications role supporting customers across the Midlands and wider UK. Work is varied and customer-facing, with visits to client sites and company showrooms, plus occasional exhibitions.

Role overview: Deliver structured training courses and live demonstrations on milling and turning applications, primarily using Siemens or ProtoTRAK controls. You will plan and run courses, support exhibitions, and provide on-site and showroom-based training to a mix of new and experienced users.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver group and 1-to-1 training on milling and turning applications
  • Prepare and run demonstrations at showrooms, customer sites and exhibitions
  • Develop course content, example programs and handouts
  • Advise on best practice, workholding, tooling and programming workflows
  • Capture training outcomes, feedback and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate visit schedules and travel plans; maintain tidy reporting

Requirements:

  • Time served or apprentice-trained Miller and or Turner
  • Strong practical experience with Siemens or ProtoTRAK controls
  • Confident programming at the control and explaining concepts clearly
  • Professional communication and presentation skills
  • Full UK driving licence. Right to work in the UK
  • Comfortable with 1-3 nights away per week

  • Experience delivering formal training or coaching
  • Trade show and live demo experience
  • Broader CNC exposure beyond Siemens and ProtoTRAK
