Sequani is seeking a skilled professional to join our Pathology Sciences Department in Ledbury, Herefordshire, UK. We’re looking for a driven professional to take on a pivotal role within our growing team, with excellent opportunities for career progression as the department evolves.

Qualifications
- FRCPath or Diplomate of ACVP or ECVP is necessary
- Veterinary degree (DVM, VMD, BVM&S, BVSc or equivalent) is necessary
- Higher qualification/MSc or PhD is beneficial, but not essential
Responsible for
- Advising on all aspects of anatomic and clinical pathology requirements in non-clinical safety studies as required for protocols
- Supervising necropsies when required; to ensure dissection, sampling, and preservation according to the protocol requirements, and advise on the description and recording of macroscopic findings
- Performing microscopic evaluation and interpretation of the findings, and to correlate these findings with macroscopic findings, organ weights, and clinical pathology findings
- Interacting with internal and external clients in order to ensure client satisfaction with Pathology Sciences department deliverables
- Supervising, peer‑reviewing and advising pathologists in training in collaboration with Head of Pathology Sciences
What we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory animal pathology/toxicologic pathology
- Demonstrated expertise in reading and evaluating toxicity studies and conducting pathology peer reviews
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working independently and within teams
- Basic computer skills (experience in digital pathology is beneficial)
