As a Senior Product Manager, you will take a leading role in shaping Sepura’s TETRA device and accessories portfolio, building on the company’s market‑leading heritage in mission‑critical communications. You will drive the evolution of radios, batteries, audio accessories, carrying systems, and ecosystem components that deliver reliable, secure and resilient communications for critical users worldwide. Working at the intersection of operational user needs, market demand, and engineering innovation, you will define and deliver differentiated TETRA products and accessories that maximise performance, usability, and lifecycle value.
You will ensure the portfolio continues to meet the demanding expectations of public safety and professional users while supporting long‑term investment protection and gradual evolution towards hybrid architectures. In addition to owning products, you will provide leadership, mentoring and direction within the Product Management team, elevating capability and consistency across the function. You will own the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap definition through to delivery, in‑life optimisation and commercial success, ensuring Sepura maintains its leadership in TETRA devices and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Product Leadership & Strategy
- Own the end‑to‑end success of the TETRA devices and accessories portfolio, including radios, batteries, chargers, audio and carry solutions.
- Define and execute short-, mid- and long‑term product strategies aligned to customer needs, lifecycle management and installed base growth.
- Build and maintain a clear, compelling product vision and roadmap rooted in operational user insight.
- Act as a thought leader in TETRA mission‑critical communications, identifying innovation opportunities across ergonomics, durability, audio performance and accessory ecosystems.
- Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and mentoring to Product Managers and junior team members.
- Drive best practice in product management, including roadmap governance and lifecycle discipline.
- Support capability growth through structured guidance, knowledge sharing and feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and customer‑centric thinking.
- Market & Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with public safety and professional communication users to understand operational requirements.
- Translate real‑world scenarios (frontline use, harsh environments, extended shifts) into differentiated product features.
- Partner with sales, bid and marketing teams to align portfolio direction with market demand and tender requirements.
- Monitor competitors and adjacent markets (e.g., accessories, rugged devices) to maintain competitive advantage.

- Lead translation of product concepts into clear, actionable and testable requirements.
- Work closely with engineering teams across hardware, firmware and mechanical design.
- Ensure products meet critical operational requirements including coverage and RF performance, audio clarity in high‑noise environments, ruggedness and environmental durability, interoperability with existing infrastructure and accessories.
- Drive delivery through to launch, adoption and continuous improvement.
- In-Life Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor performance metrics including adoption, reliability, return rates and customer satisfaction.
- Drive improvements in accessory attach rates and overall solution value.
- Own lifecycle management including refresh strategies, cost optimisation and end‑of‑life planning.
- Ensure backward compatibility and accessory reuse strategies are maximised.
- Stakeholder Leadership
- Influence and align across engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, marketing and executive teams.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and customers at all levels.
- Lead development of product communications including datasheets, product bulletins and sales collateral.
What you need to succeed
Essential Experience
- Senior product management experience (typically 7+ years), including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven delivery of hardware products, preferably in communications, rugged devices or accessories.
- Strong understanding of mission‑critical or professional communications environments.
- Experience working across complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of device development and life cycle.
- Experience with RF communications and coverage considerations, audio design for mission‑critical use, battery technologies and power management, accessory ecosystems (audio, carry, charging).
- Ability to engage credibly with engineering on hardware design trade‑offs.
